One gentleman who was probably personally impacted somewhere in his life
by the 47th chromosome, asked"Are you suggesting that humans with 47 Chromosomes are not human?"In brief, never! In fact, though I was completely taken aback by this question, I was grateful he brought it up. This was the furthest thing from my mind when I was citing the various differences between Chimps and Humans, and never, ever, had it crossed my mind that these people were sub-human, not human, or even less than human. Thus, because this never even crossed my mind, I had no idea how easily this could hurt or offend somebody already deeply hurt by the 47th chromosome. It is difficult to predict what people will interpret from what you say, so I do apologize to any who may have been offended by a suggestion I would never even think, let alone try to convey. A person with 47 Chromosomes has Down's syndrome. Like the "Hobbits" (referred to on the "Proof of Creation" page), this has nothing to do with a person's humanness anymore than the viruses causing common cold (by taking over the reproductive systems in our cells and becoming "part" of us) has to do with our humanness! Strangely, some evolutionists have referred to Down's Syndrom as evolution! |
