Donating to this ministry...Thank you for considering supporting this ministry financially. You can donate to general expenses in keeping Ian and the museum on the road, or toward new museum pieces, or towards various programs described below. **Please note: While I am setting up the ministry with non-profit charity status, currently this has not been granted and as such, currenlty donations are NOT tax exempt.** General Expenses: It's simple math: this goes towards both my living expenses and various ministry expenses. If I can't pay my bills through earnings from the ministry, then it means I have to get a job to pay the bills. This means the museum winds up locked up in my porch and the information I've spent my life collecting gets locked away in my head while I'm stuck at work and can't minister. I am now relying more and more on this ministry to meet my expenses and would certainly like to focus strictly on this ministry. Though I live a humble life, I do still have bills to pay like everyone else, and Creation ministry is incredibly time consuming even when I'm not speaking. While your donations are greatly appreciated, I also wish to say a huge thank you to those out there praying for me and my ministry - thank you!
Museum displays & artifacts:I am constantly adding to the museum, and constantly looking to add more. Fossils, casts and displays are all incredibly expensive. These pieces will travel throughout North America within the traveling museum, or hopefully will find a home in the future, permanent museum. Donations made toward this program are spent on display expenses (construction, purchase, shipping, etc...).
Museum artifact & display loan program: Geared primarily to arm High School students, I am putting together an artifact and display loan program. This is a collection of fossils, casts, displays and overheads that can be signed out for either a nominal fee (to compensate for wear and tear and insurance) or for free (for high school students, most displays will be free). These displays are quite expensive - one cheap cast can cost $150 US plus shipping. Imagine being able to sign out artifacts, fossils and overheads for use in your class presentation! Other groups may be interested in signing out various displays for conventions and special occasions - this program is for them too. Your donation will go towards purchasing duplicate displays, fossils or casts which are already held in the CSMC collection, of which the duplicates will be loaned out.
Continuing Donations: I've had requests for a button for monthly donations. You can mix and match the different buttons to add up to whatever you'd like. These are to make recurring, monthly payments - and thank you! It all helps keep this on the road. |
